Kevin C. P. Conlon, MA, MCh, MBA, FRCSI, received his medical degree from University College Dublin in Ireland and his master of surgery degree from the National University of Ireland. He received his master of business administration degree from Columbia University, New York, New York. Dr Conlon is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. He completed his residency in general surgery at Washington University in St Louis, Missouri, and a research fellowship in surgical oncology and metabolism at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, New York. He was associate chair of the Department of Surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering before returning to Ireland, where he is presently chair and professor of surgery at Trinity College Dublin. Dr Conlon is a surgical oncologist specializing in upper gastrointestinal cancer, particularly gastric and pancreatic malignancies.
