TORSION of the testis in a case of intersexuality is of sufficiently rare occurrence to warrant publication. The present case may fit the category of male pseudohermaphroiditism labeled by Howard1 as adenoma tubulare and most recently described by Schneider and co-workers2 in familial form, or it may be an example of true hermaphroiditism.

A 50-year-old female farmer was sent to the hospital with the diagnosis of incarcerated hernia.She had never menstruated but had married and had intercourse, without sexual desire.
