To the Editor.
—I read with great interest Ehrlich and Gonzales-Lavin's communication on cystogastrostomy in cases of pseudocysts (Archives93:996 [Dec] 1966). With no less astonishment, I found in the note that Jurasz was identified as a German surgeon. I think this information is a misunderstanding based on the fact that his writing on this subject was found in a German publication, Archiv fuer klinische Chirurgie.I feel that it is my duty to inform you that Prof Antoni Jurasz, Jr., was a famous Polish surgeon and patriot. I had the honor of becoming acquainted with this great man before World War II as he was my father's good friend. Beginning in 1920, Prof Jurasz served as professor of clinical surgery at the Polish University in Poznań. In 1926, he became Dean, and in 1927, vice-Rector of this University. He lectured on general surgery in the same medical school
