This book is a comprehensive text covering most of the field of trauma. There are 23 chapters by 39 different authors that cover many historical aspects of trauma management and include subject matter from the initial evaluation and treatment of the injured patient, shock, and resuscitation to wound sepsis and mass casualty management. There are individual chapters on injuries of the central nervous system, eyes, abdomen, genitourinary system, soft tissues, and hand.
