ABSTRACT

New Appointments.—Walter J. Pories, MD, has been named chairman of the Department of Surgery at East Carolina University, Greenville, NC.

William Drucker, MD, is now chairman of the Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, Rochester, NY.

Dr Charles K. McSherry has been appointed director of surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.

News and Announcements: The Editor will be pleased to receive for publication brief notices of meetings, seminars, or symposia which are of interest to the readers of the Archives. News items of appointments, promotions and developments in the field of surgery and related disciplines are invited.

Dr Kirk K. Kazarian is chief of surgery at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Conn.

Dr Frank W. Masters has been named chairman of the Department of Surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita.
