Hugh Fitzpatrick, MD, Dies.—Dr Hugh F. Fitzpatrick, Director of Surgery at St Luke's Hospital, St Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, New York, died there on Aug 21, 1980, after a brief illness. Dr Fitzpatrick was a professor of surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Clark Professor of Surgery at St Luke's Hospital Center-Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York. Under his guidance and leadership, active clinical programs in cardiac surgery and renal transplantation were established and have continued to flourish.
