RT Journal T1 Error in dosage in: Perioperative hyperoxygenation and wound site infection following surgery for acute appendicitis: a randomized, prospective, controlled trial JF Archives of Surgery JO Archives of Surgery YR 2011 FD August 1 VO 146 IS 8 SP 993 OP 993 DO 10.1001/archsurg.2011.205 UL http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/archsurg.2011.205 AB Error in Dosage. In the Original Article titled “Perioperative Hyperoxygenation and Wound Site Infection Following Surgery for Acute Appendicitis: A Randomized, Prospective, Controlled Trial” by Bickel et al, published in the April 2011 issue of the Archives (2011;146[4]:464-470), an error occurred in the first paragraph of “Study Protocol” on page 465. The fifth sentence of the paragraph listed an incorrect dosage of fentanyl citrate, which should have been in micrograms rather than milligrams. The sentence should have read, “Anesthesia was maintained with nitrous oxide with oxygen (in a ratio depending on group selection), isoflurane, 1%, rocuronium bromide or atracurium besylate (0.10-0.15 μg/kg), and fentanyl citrate (5-10 μg on demand).” This article was corrected online.
