RT Journal T1 DIagnosis of diseases of the breast JF Archives of Surgery JO Archives of Surgery YR 1999 FD November 1 VO 134 IS 11 SP 1279 OP 1279 DO UL http://dx.doi.org/ AB Diagnosis of Diseases of the Breast is divided into 7 sections involving 32 chapters. It is a comprehensive review of a panorama of pretreatment and posttreatment imaging studies. Special emphasis is given to techniques for evaluating results (clinical outcome analyses), historical data, and a continuing comparison of normal breast structures with diseased states. There is a heavy emphasis on benign diseases, not often addressed in the imaging literature. This text is a distillate of the many imaging studies that have emerged since 1975 and will serve as an excellent diagnostic reference in a rapidly changing field that has benefited from technical advancements. The variety of imaging techniques are well defined and pitfalls in their interpretation are clearly outlined. The book certainly adds to the contemporaniana of emerging textbooks involving the most politicized organ in the body.
