The authors have treated the early stage of GBC, including the T2 stage, through the laparoscopic approach with minimal lymphadenectomy. Carcinoma of the gallbladder is a very rare malignancy, with an incidence of 0.8% to 1.2%, and is the most common biliary tract malignancy.2 The authors treated 18 cases of GBC over a period of 3 years.
