AB In addition to adenocarcinoma, the gallbladder may be the site of origin of various benign lesions, including papilloma, adenoma, adenomyoma, and fibroma.1,5-8,10 The occurrence, as an incidental finding, of a tumor of the gallbladder having the histologic appearance identical with that of a so-called "mixed tumor" of the salivary glands would seem to be of sufficient rarity to merit documentation as an isolated case report.Report of Case 
    A 73-year-old white man entered the Kansas City (Mo.) Veterans Administration Hospital on March 23, 1958, because of upper abdominal pain of 24 hours' duration. The past history was non-contributory except for occasional episodes of upper abdominal discomfort, relieved by alkali. Physical examination showed moderate tenderness, with slight guarding, in the right middle and upper abdomen, without other significant physical findings.
