M. Fried published in the November issue of the Archives, the last paragraph should read:It is desirable to divide primary multiple cancers into two categories: (1) those which originate in organs of the same system, and (2) those which arise in organs of different systems. The multiplicity of cancers of the first category is due in all probability to a predisposition sui generis, while the advent of two or more cancers in the second category is due very likely to a mere coincidence.
