The rejection episode is known to be less frequent in cases of renal transplantation in man treated by lymph drainage.2,3The purpose of thoracic-duct lymph drainage is the depletion of lymphocytes produced by lymphatic tissue. However, the largest drawback of thoracic-duct lymph drainage is the protein loss which occurs due to the expulsion of thoracic duct lymph containing one-half to two-thirds of serum protein out of the body. Lymph drainage in patients with chronic renal failure with progressive anemia and catabolism signifies loss of 30 to 60 gm of protein in a day. For thoracicduct lymph drainage lasting for a relatively long period, protein supplement is practically impossible.This paper reports the
