AB The author states that there are three aspects of major importance in resuscitation which are respiratory, cardiac, and biochemical in nature. Throughout the book, these points are emphasized. It is attractively written and engaging in style, though the average American student may encounter some difficulty in the British values relating to electrolytes and acid-base balance.The chapters dealing with cardiac disease and ventilation bring together information in a more useful way than is true for hemorrhagic shock and the biochemical aspects of resuscitation.
