AB In Reply.—I certainly appreciate the letter from Dr Montandon regarding our article for it was not our intention to overlook their work on Peyronie's disease. Our report was based on our works on the breast capsular contracture and Peyronie's disease during 1975-1976. The paper was written in the spring of 1977 and submitted for publication in the fall of 1977. At the time of the writing, we were not aware of Dr Montandon's similar work, as published in the French language and cited by them in the later reference. Certainly, we owe all our knowledge on the myofibroblasts to the works of Dr Gabbiani and his associates and they deserve all the recognition for it.
