N2  - Historically, parastomal hernias have represented a challenge to surgeons. Unsatisfying results from surgical repair have led to many modifications over time. Surgical repair of parastomal hernias has evolved from the traditional open technique to the current laparoscopic approach. We outline a technique that combines mesh reinforcement with a minimally invasive approach.
