Writing in 1947, Reimann and Guyton3 were able to find only four papers during a 10-year period in the American literature on this subject. Probstein and Blumenthal,4 in 1956, stated that there had been a total of 83 cases reported.Because of the rarity of this condition it is believed worth while to report another case and to comment on some of the perti nent facts regarding the origin, diagnosis and treatment of adrenal cysts.Report of a CaseĀ  A 40-year-old white woman was admitted Chester Hospital because of left renal colic and hematuria.
