The anatomy of the oral pharynx, trachea, and segments of the bronchial tree are well depicted. With the exception of the figures in the introduction, which are confusing and best avoided, the large color photographs constituting more than 50% of this book are the highlight of the work. The photographs illustrate a wide range of laryngeal and airway pathology, including neoplasms of the larynx, tracheal stenosis, tracheoesophageal fistulas, chronic bronchitis, neoplasms of the airways, and granulomas. One limitation of this book is its poor organization of some illustrations, which is a bit forced and at times confusing.In addition, the text and references on the subject of fiberoptic bronchoscopy are inadequate.
