Surgeons, orthopedists, vascular surgeons and vascular radiologists, and emergency room physicians all will find answers to their many problems and questions. The only fault of the book, if it is indeed a fault, is that it is really three books. The many reproductions of angiograms show every conceivable type of injury in almost every artery in the body, and could be collected as an Atlas of Angiograms of Vascular Trauma. A shorter, "how-to-do-it" for a quick reference by busy residents could come out of the wealth of the authors' experience.Busy surgeons may skip the historical section, but the dramatic quotations at the beginning of each chapter from the bold and observant surgeons of yesteryear will be enjoyed. The physiology and pathology are described and illustrated in great detail. General principles are fully discussed in SN - 0004-0010 M3 - doi: 10.1001/archsurg.1979.01370300110030 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/archsurg.1979.01370300110030 ER -
